The research projects listed below are ones that I coordinated, as Principal Investigator or Team Leader:
2020-2023. Nanostructured microfluidic analytical platform for dual SERS-electrochemical detection of emerging environmental pollutants, Norway Grants - Collaborative Research Projects.
2020. Optimizing Surface Enhanced Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (SECARS) Efficiency with Hybrid Colloidal Photonic-Plasmonic Crystals, JINR-Ro 2020 Program (partner dr G. Arzumanyan).
2019. Surface Enhanced Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (SECARS) on Hybrid Colloidal Photonic-Plasmonic Crystals, JINR-Ro 2020 Program (partner dr G. Arzumanyan).
2015-2017. Nano-Gap Arrays Fabricated on Large Areas as Plasmonic Platforms for Controlling Light Emission Processes - acronym GLANCE. More information on this project can be found on its dedicated page, at this link -> GLANCE Project.
2015-2016. Spectrally selective enhancement and directionality of spontaneous emission in anisotropic plasmo-photonic nanostructures - acronym StEPhAN. This is a Romania-France collaboration project (PN-II-CT-RO-FR-2014), with the french side coordinated by researcher Renaud A. L. Vallee, at the Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal, CNRS. The project deals with the study of interactions between emitters and linear plasmonic nanostructures.
2011-2014. Development of Dual Electrical/Optical NanoSensors on Flexible Substrates by Colloidal Self-Assembly - acronym DEONoS. Between 2011-2014 I coordinated this project for young research teams (PN-II-RU-TE-2011), at the Institue for Interdisciplinary Research of the Babes-Bolyai University, in the Nanobiophotonics group. The project aimed at developing a bio/chemo - sensor with a dual readout, electric and optic, based on chemically synthesized noble metal colloids deposited in a controlled manner on solid substrates. More on this project can be found on its dedicated page, at this link -> DEONOS Project.
2013. Modularea spectrala a emisiei de fluorescenta prin efecte plasmonice in nanostructuri metalice cu raspuns optic anizotrop, Grant for Young Researchers (GTC), financed by Babes-Bolyai University.
2007-2008. Preparation, characterisation and testing of periodic metallic nanostructures on solid substrate for applications in nanophotonics, bio-plasmonics and Raman scattering based molecular detection, Project CNCSIS - TD 2007.
2006-2008. Nanostructuri metalo-polimerice cu aplicatii in spectroscopia optica de inalta sensibilitate si nanofotonica, Scientific Research Scholarship for doctoral students CNCSIS-BD 2006.
