Upcoming events at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church:

• Community Breakfast, first Saturday of each month, 7:00-10:00 AM 

• Christmas Day Dinner. A Free Dinner is being offered from Noon to 1:30 pm on Sunday, December 25.

Opportunities to Serve in the Community

• Logansport Salvation Army (food pantry, drivers, youth mentor) volunteer info. 

• Volunteer opportunities through the United Way of Cass County.

• Emmaus Mission Center is seeking teams of two people to help clients navigate the food pantry on Friday mornings. Call 574-739-0107 for more information

• Literacy Volunteers of Cass County is seeking tutors to help adults learn to read. Call 574-355-0986 for more information.

• Hospice Volunteer Opportunities: Guardian Angel Hospice volunteers may help with patient and family care, bereavement support, support during a patient's final hours, or office support. To learn more, call 800-338-4043. SouthernCare hospice volunteers visit patients and families, reading, running errands, making phone calls, or driving patients to appointments. Assistance with office work and bereavement services are also possible. Call the Volunteer Services Coordinator at 765-453-3140. Hope Hospice volunteers might read a book to a patient, run errands, or write letters for the patient, or help with special events. Call 888-737-4673 for more information.
