Fieldwork

Hello 6965 Candidates,

Welcome to the Fall 2014 Semester!

You are enrolled in two courses this semester. 6080 is your credentialing course and 6965 is your fieldwork course. Fieldwork is one of the requirements for clearing your 2042 preliminary Credential. Your fieldwork course has many components. I have attached the fieldwork syllabus with this email.

In the very near future, your University Supervisor will contact you via your LMU email address. This person is the one who will be visiting you at your school several times (five minimum) this semester. Additionally, you will have two team meetings with this person.

Please familiarize yourself with the FACT (Formative Assessment for California Teachers) website http://ca-btsainduction.org/formative-assessment-california-teachers as you will be working through many of these documents with your University Supervisor and 6080 course instructor.

Additionally, here is the LINK to the CSTP's ( http://ctc.ca.gov/educator-prep/standards/CSTP-2009.pdf) You will be using these for both coursework and fieldwork while in the program.

Please keep the following dates in mind:

Your University Supervisor will also review the fieldwork requirements with you during their first visit to your school. Please make every effort to keep appointments with them and to make sure that you are in constant communication with them. Additionally, I will be visiting your 6080 course in the very near future to answer any questions and to review FACT requirements and fieldwork.

Have a great Fall Semester!

Best,

Dana
