I grew up in the small town of Duanesburg in upstate New York vaguely near Schenectady. Then I moved slightly westward to Syracuse University where I graduated in 2011 with a B.S. in physics. Continuing to move westward, I earned my PhD in Astronomy and Physics at the University of Rochester in March of 2017. My thesis was on the topic of modeling light curves of transiting circumstellar material under the guidance of Prof. Alice Quillen. Now, I am a NExSS NPP fellow at Arizona State University working with Steve Desch and also Jason Wright at Penn State.
I live in the city of Tempe, AZ with my husband. I spend whatever free time I have knitting too many socks and scarves where it makes no sense to have warm clothing.
