Employers

I had many employers in the course of my career.

I was privileged to work for 6 different municipalities. I worked with Municipal Engineering work for over 21 and half years. This has given me a great insight how local Government works and what are the expectation of all stakeholders

Self employed

I had started a family business with my brother and Father to carry out building and Engineering design. This was in a form of partnership which lasted 18 years.

I worked full time on private clients for about 5 years and about 13 years working part time while working for Government and Private organisations.

I stopped working from the partnership to work solely for Local Government. When I left Local Government in 2017 I resume working under my own name.

Partner, Civil, Hydraulic and Structural Engineer - 1984 to 2002 - 18 years

Office Manager, consulting Engineer and Author

2017 to present - 2 years and 7 months

Victorian State Government

I was given the opportunity to work with State Government and I took it and have never regretted it. I was fortunate to work with some interesting projects and gained experience in Hydraulic and sanitary engineering. All up I worked nearly 6 years in with the State Government.

1990 to 1992 - 2 years as a contract Engineer. Then in 1992 after my contract finished i did 3 months of consulting work.

1996 to 1998 - 1 year 9 months as an in house consultant.

1998 to 2000 - 2 years and 1 month - In house consultant and program manager

It is interesting to see the breakdown of my career. Three quarters of my career has been spent working on Government projects. And one quarter on private development.I have been privileged to work both in Public and private projects across, Civil , Structural and hydraulic projects, I also had the opportunity to work in Emergency management and project management and guide and influence small team of Engineers.
