Important Information

In the interest of providing the best possible training and due to limitation of space in the Observatory, we can only accept a limited number of participants. The available positions will be 16 and are going to be dispensed to applicants of all levels requested above. Major selection factors will include:

• curriculum vitae (a combination of scientific publications and active participation to scientific conferences);
• statement of interest (500-1000 words);
• abstract of the ongoing research (500-1000 words);
• country of provenance;

The cost of the school is 300 € per person, which includes inscription fee, housing (5 nights), meals and transportations (Catania – observatory and back; field activities). This price does not include air fare to and from Catania (Italy). Two grants will be allocated to two students admitted to the “Etna International School of Geochemistry, 2019”. The grants will be given by the SoGeI (Società Geochimica Italiana) and the Geode Associazione Naturalistica and will only cover the participation fee.
