The COVID pandemic has put constraints on volunteer opportunities at the school for the time being, but the PTO can still use your ideas and help! Please attend a PTO meeting to hear about different opportunities you can help with.

We often get questions about background checks. Attached below are instructions, forms and FAQ's about background checks in both English and Spanish.
If you are just volunteering with your own child, you do not need a background check.
If you are volunteering with other children (other than your own), but not in a situation where you will be alone with a child / or unsupervised, then you only need the non-fingerprint background check.
If you are volunteering with other children (other than your own) and you will potentially be alone with a child or not supervised by a DPS employee (such as enrichment volunteers and instructors) then you will probably need a fingerprint background check.
