Yields 4-6 servings
3 Tablespoons honey or agave nectar
3 Tablespoons coconut sugar
1 can (1 1/3 cup) coconut milk
2 2/3 cups almond milk
6 Tablespoons cocoa powder (Ghirardelli is the best!)
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
Whisk together the honey, coconut sugar, coconut milk, and almond milk in a small saucepan. Sift the cocoa powder into the mixture to remove any clumps.
Place over medium-low heat until cocoa and sugar are dissolved.
Increase heat to medium heat, whisking occasionally, until it is hot. Stir in the vanilla and serve.
