I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Bocconi University. Previously, I was an Associate Professor in the MEDS Department of the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

I am a research affiliate at BREAD, CEPR, J-PAL, IGC, IPA, BAFFI FINAFRICA and a faculty affiliate at IGIER, LEAP, GPRL.

My research is at the intersection of development, personnel, and organizational economics. I study how to design incentive structures to best select, motivate and retain workers in both public and private organizations.
