I am an assistant professor of economics at Brigham Young University. I am interested in industrial organization, energy, and environmental economics. Much of my research is on the oil and gas industry. Check out my research here and my Google Scholar page here.Â
I received a PhD in economics from University of Michigan (2015) and a B.A. in Economics and Middle Eastern Studies/Arabic from Brigham Young University (2007). I served as an economist in the Economics Analysis Group in the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice from 2015 to 2019 and was an assistant professor at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University from 2019 to 2025.
