I am a University of Arizona Wildcat through and through! Although I am now also a Sun Devil following my doctoral program completion. I graduated from U of A in 2012 with my B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Spanish (Español).
I received an M.A. in Psychology in 2014. My masters examined how regions in our visual cortex represent and respond to action objects positioned correctly or incorrectly for the action that they are well known to perform. It is titled: Action affordances among semantically related objects mediates competition in V4.
I recently earned my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Innovation at Arizona State University in 2024. I completed my dissertation under the mentorship of Dr. Eugene Judson. My research focused on exploring student equity gaps through the lens of culturally responsive and empathetic teaching.
I am also a Residential Faculty member in Psychology at Estrella Mountain Community College and a Faculty Associate in the graduate program at Arizona State University.
