Authors

Manuscripts submitted to ERA must follow the guidelines listed below. Manuscripts that do not follow these guidelines will either be rejected or greatly delayed in the copy editing process. ERA used volunteers for all processes including copy editing. Our copy editors do not want to spend their time preparing manuscripts for authors.

1. Journal Style: Please carefully review the material listed under the Journal Style link at the left.

2. Spelling & Grammar: ERA makes an attempt to standardize spelling within each language. The reason for this is to encourage uniform search capabilities for all terms used. Therefore, for each of the following languages please use the spelling of: English (Standard written English with American Spellings); French (L'Académie française); Castellano/Español (Asociación de Academias de la Lengua Española).

3. Literature Cited: ERA attempts to use an easy, simple, modern citation system. The system is a recognition of two facts: First, space is not a limiting factor in modern electronic publications, and second, accuracy is very important in a world of many different readers. Therefore, full citations, mostly without abbreviations, are used for clarity. Older systems are not used that employed: numbered citations, abbreviations for journal titles and key words (e.g., editor, edition, volume), removal of article titles, etc. Please carefully apply the instructions listed under the Literature Cited link at the left.
