Ludwig Eduard Boltzmann (1844 - 1906)  “Father” of Statistical Mechanics

The Lattice Boltzmann Method research team at the University of Mostaganem works in the field of Mesoscopic Modeling and Simulation of Transfer Phenomena (MNEPM laboratory). It was created in 2012 and directed by Mr. HOUAT Samir, professor at the University of Mostaganem (Algeria). It is composed of doctoral students and teacher-researchers.

The research axis is directed towards the study and analysis of problems related to fluid dynamics and heat transfer. The most used approach is numerical simulation, especially the macroscopic approach (conventional methods) and mesoscopic using the Lattice Boltzmann Method.
