The Basics of Y-Axis Reflection
Imagine a single point. Note the y-axis has been enlarged.
Then you take that point and jump it over the y-axis. The reflected point is exactly as far away from the axis as the original point.
Now picture doing that same movement to every single point on a graph. The entire graph becomes a mirror image of its original self.
The shallow line was on the right and is now on the left. The curve up was on the left and is now on the right.
