Reflections Summary
Both types of reflections are identified by a negative sign.
Y-Axis Reflection
Given an original graph f(x) the transformed graph g(x) = f(-x)
The negative sign multiplies with the x-variable itself.
For instance the graph ln(-x) is a y-axis reflection.
X-Axis Reflection
Given an original graph f(x) the transformed graph g(x) = -f(x)
The negative sign is outside of the original function.
For instance the graph -ln(x) is an x-axis reflection.

Once again, the Key Difference between them is that a y-axis reflection happens inside the function and an x-axis reflection happens outside the function:
