Ambitions

The concept of Communication Science has come to me by experience and by my peers. It made its first impact on me two years ago during one of my multiple travels around the world. I went on a pedagogic school trip to Japan where we studied the local culture. My impression of that society is that it was highly efficient in marketing and advertising as a way to convey messages to its population. My high interest in people and in media combined allowed me to develop a thirst for understanding the psychology behind media. The first major point about Communication science that interests me the most is that it is so broad. it is applicable in every situation of our daily lives nowadays. All possibilities of work in all the possibles domains of Communication make it a secure subject to study since almost every company needs communication today. However, the one field that interests me the most is the entertainment Communication. It is linked to the filmmaking business which i described as one of my interests. Therefore this would also be my ideal future situation to work in. I am also very interested in understanding how the media work and their influence on society. This subject is also very close to philosophy which is to me the most interesting subject and maybe the hardest as well because of the challenge it presents. In five to ten years i either see myself still studying further on this subject or on others like psychology or working as previously said for an entertainment company preferably in production since i have taken interest in making media. My end goal would be to have my own production studio and I feel that through internships I will be able to grow through that field the way I currently already am.
