地域の環境共生に向けた環境政策論の教育、研究

森、川、里、海のつながりを健全にすることを通じて、持続可能な社会を形成するにはどうすればよいのか？ 地域の環境共生に向けた政策・社会・生態系の相互関係について、教育、研究活動を行っています。

とりわけ本研究室では、環境政策の「過程」に着目した新たな研究の展開を目指しています。従来の環境政策論では、環境政策の「手段」についての分析が主流でしたが、どのように環境政策が形成され実施されているのか、その「過程」についての分析は手薄でした。様々な立場の人々がかかわった複雑な環境政策のプロセスを解きほぐし、問題点を明らかにし、改善に向けた方策を提示していきます。

Environmental Policy Studies for the Local Sustainability

How can we build the sustainable society through enhancing the sound linkages between forests, rivers, villages, and seas? We are doing educational and research activities about the governance of social-ecological systems for enhancing the local sustainability.

Especially, we are trying to develop the new research frontier of environmental policy studies with focusing the "processes". While the mainstream approach in environmental policy studies is to analyze policy "measures", there is less studies on the "processes" that examine how the environmental policy is formed and implemented. We will analyze the complex process of environmental policy that various stakeholders engaged in, reveal the problems inherent in them, and propose strategies for the better processes.
