About
Welcome to my website!
I am Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), and research fellow at the Institutions and Political Economy Research Group (IPErG), Universitat de Barcelona (UB).
I hold a PhD in Political and Social Sciences (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, 2012). Previously I was Juan de la Cierva-Formación (2015-2016) and Juan de la Cierva-Incorpación (2017-2019) post-doctoral researcher at the Democracy, Elections and Citizenship (DEC) at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
My research interests are focused on political behaviour, elections, parties, electoral systems, populism and political psychology. i have also largely worked on identities, decentralisation and territorial preferences, with a specific focus on the Catalan case.
I have been visiting scholar at the Université de Montréal and Universität Mannheim during my PhD, as well as postdoctoral guest researcher at the University of Western Ontario and University of Copenhagen.
Together with Toni Rodon and Marc Sanjaume we own a blog on political science in Catalan, El Pati Descobert, and since March 2022 we are the editors of a podcast intended to disseminate results in social sciences, La Segona Volta, that is released every other Tuesday in Catalunya Ràdio--the national radistation in Catalonia.
