Tomb 16 - Page 1
The tomb of Christopher Oxenden and George Oxenden is the most imposing tomb in the cemetery.
It consists of a pair of tombs, one entirely enclosed within the other.
The inner tomb is a domed single-storey rectangular structure .
The outer tomb, a two-storey structure, is covered by a four-segment split dome.
The domes are supported by massive pillars and round their interiors are galleries reached by a flight of steps.
The matching octagonal stair turrents are capped by small domed pavilions.
The principal entrance, facing east.
The door between projecting octagonal stair turrents, locked by the ASI.
The east and south sides of the tomb.
The door on the south side, covered by a metal mesh.
The sides facing south and west.

Since the door is locked this is the only way to view the graves, thru the metal mesh ...
... unless you are lucky ;-)
