Jag fick ett mail från Robert MacKinnon, Toronto, Canada. Han har fått ärva en 4-pipig
Engholmare och har en helt fantastisk berättelse som jag fått hans tillstånd att återge här:
"Hi,
I was doing some research this evening around an Engholm pepperbox which I inherited from my father. I came across your web page about these antiques and thought I’d write. This pistol has been in our family for a very long time. I remember my father
having it even when I was a boy. I believe he might have got it through my mother’s side of the family because her ancestry is Swedish. My grandmother’s maiden name was Engholm so she might have been related to Johan Engholm, the manufacturer of this pistol. I know my mother’s family emigrated to USA from the Jonkoping region. My father researched the family tree so
I’ll have to locate that book and find out more.
The pistol is in very good shape for its age. I’ve included a picture of it for your interest. I live in Toronto, CANADA.
Best Regards, Robert"

In a later mail Robert tell some more details about his predecessors:
"I talked to my Aunt about the family history. She confirmed that my maternal grandmother Elmy (my mother's mother) was an Engholm by birth, Davidson by marriage. Her father was Gustav Engholm. My aunt was not able to recall if there was a great uncle or grandfather named Johan so I don't know how near or distant Johan Engholm was related to my grandmother. In any case, the my grandfather was from Ljungby, Sweden and I believe my grandmother may have been from nearby. Here is a scan of the immigration papers when they came to the USA in 1927. My mother is the oldest girl in the middle."

Tack för denna fantastiska historia, Robert!
Uppdatering 2017-04-06:
