First Grade

September 5 - Your Word is truth.  John 17:17

September 9 - The Scripture cannot be broken.  John 10:35

September 12 - Blessed rather are those who hear the Word of God and keep it.  Luke 11:28

September 16 - Your faith has saved you; go in peace.  Luke 7:50

September 19 - Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.  Acts 16:31

September 23 - Whosoever believes and is baptized will be saved.  Mark 16:16

September 26 - The First Article:  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  

September 30 - O Lord, You preserve both man and beast.  Psalm 36:6

Dear Parents,

Memory will be on Tuesdays and Fridays.  The children will need to know the book, chapter and verse along with the words.  When it comes to a commandment, they must say which one it is and the commandment, so that they gain an understanding of what they are learning.  When it comes to the First Article, please also have them state that, plus the words after it.  Again, so that they gain an understanding of what it is.  The date stated before each memory is the date when the memory should be learned for.  If you have any questions please let me know.
