Programming the GI Parameters
Step 1: Remove the translight, and open the backbox door.
Step 2: Press and hold the PROG button until the red indicator lights stop cycling. You are now in programming mode.
Step 3: Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the desired GI string(s) to program. You can select a single string, or multiple strings. It is convenient to select multiple strings when you want to set them to behave identically. As the red indicator lights show which strings are selected, so will the lights on your machine. When you have the desired string(s) selected, press the PROG button. The selected channels are locked in and you proceed to the programming the control parameters for the selected string(s).
Step 4: The parameters are programmed one after another: MAX, MIN, RISE, and FALL. You use the UP and DOWN buttons to alter each parameter. As you are operating the buttons the selected GI string(s) will light up (or ramp up and down on the Rate parameters) to indicate the current parameter setting. If you release the buttons for 2 seconds, all GI lights will cycle from on to off so you can see how your parameter values looks with the other lights on your machine.
Step 5: When you are satisfied with the parameter setting, press the PROG button to confirm it and proceed to setting the next parameter.
Step 6: Continue programming your parameters with the UP and DOWN buttons, and confirm each with the PROG button.
Step 7: Once you have confirmed the final parameter, the board will save all settings and exit programming mode.
Step 8: Repeat the programming procedure for any remaining GI strings you wish to program.
Parameter Details
MAX: This is the maximum brightness that the selected GI will reach when the machine sends the signal for them to light up.
MIN: This is the minimum brightness that the selected GI will reach when the machine sends the signal for them to extinguish. You can set this to "off" if you like; or you can set it to match the MAX value and the string will never turn off; or you can set this to some dim value, and the lights will simply dim when the machine sends the signal to extinguish.
RISE: This is the rate that the LEDs will increase in brightness when they transition from off to on. Pressing the DOWN button when programming this parameter causes the LEDs to brighten up more slowly, while UP will cause them to brighten more quickly.
FALL: This is the rate that the LEDs will decrease in brightness when they transition from on to off. Pressing the DOWN button when programming this parameter causes the LEDs to dim more slowly, while UP will cause them to dim more quickly.
FACTORY RESET: If you would like to restore the Parameters to the factory defaults, hold the UP and DOWN buttons down together for 3 seconds. The LEDs will go off for a moment, and when they return, all parameters will be restored.
