On July 7th 1998, at The Mausoleum Cafe & Lounge, the first performance of a new fusion dance genre was presented to the public...Gothic Bellydance.

Gothic Bellydance was born from the fusion of ancient Egyptian dance and contemporary Gothic subculture ...and of course, the occult.

GOTH...to an extent, has been used to describe things that are outside society. In this era, it is the art, clothing, music, and folklore of the "Age of Enlightenment" of Eastern Europe combined with ancient Pharaohnic culture and dance that form the core of our Gothic Bellydance.

Gothic Bellydance is a expressive fusion of Ancient and Contemporary dance.

Gothic Bellydance uses Gothic, Industrial and Dark World music as its musical platform.
