Menção Honrosa pela orientação do trabalho de pesquisa intitulado “Desenvolvimento e Análise de Modelos de Simulação de Fenômenos Eletromagnéticos por meio da Ferramenta NetLogo”, desenvolvido juntamente com o estudante Lucas Dantas Gueiros, apresentado durante o XI Congresso de Iniciação Científica do IFPE, realizado no Campus Pesqueira, no período de 22 a 25 de novembro de 2016.

The paper Degree of Node Proximity: a Spatial Mobility Metric for MANETs was among the three best papers at the 9th ACM MobiWac 2011. MobiWac is the International Symposium on Mobility Management and Wireless Access, and since 2002 it has been held in conjunction with the MSWiM (International Symposium on Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of Wireless and Mobile Systems). In 2011 the MSWiM took place at Miami Beach from Oct 31 to Nov 4. In 2011, the acceptance rate for regular papers in MobiWac'11 was 25.8% (15/58).

The paper Improved Spatial and Temporal Mobility Metrics for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks was selected as one of the Best Papers at The Fourth International Conference on Mobile Ubiquitous Computing, Systems, Services and Technologies (UBICOMM), IARIA, October 25-30 2010, Florence, Italy. An extended version of this paper has been accepted for publication in the Information Sciences journal (Elsevier), v. 188, p. 182-197, 2012. Inf. Sci. has an impact factor of 4.221 (2010-2014).
