Dr. Laxmi Deepika Koya

Dr. Koya is a board certified Gastroenterologist and has been in private practice in DFW area for the last 10 years. Her primary clinical interests include colon cancer prevention,Women's health, liver diseases, gastrointestinal diseases such as esophagitis, ulcers, gallbladder disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome , Irritable Bowel Disease and quality assessment in endoscopy.

Dr. Koya perfoms a wide variety of procedures including colonoscopy with removal of polyps, EGD, esophageal dilations, PEG placements, wireless capsule endoscopy, esophageal manometry, CRH hemorrodial band ligation and also perfoms advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP.

It includes common and important conditions such as colon polyps and cancer, hepatitis, gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn), peptic ulcer disease, colitis, gallbladder and biliary tract disease, nutritional problems, Irritable Bowel Syndrome , Irritable Bowel Disease, and pancreatitis. In essence, all normal activity and disease of the digestive organs are part of the study of Gastroenterology.
