I am an English Language instructor at the Language Centre of the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol, Cyprus where I currently teach English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Specific Academic Purposes (ESAP) to University students from different disciplines. I also served as the Acting Director of the Language Centre during January - June 2022. Since October 2018, I have been working as a Teacher Trainer for the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute of the Ministry of Education and Culture training teachers of public secondary education on issues related to teaching methodology and the use of technology in the teaching practice. I hold a PhD specialising in English for Specific Purposes Teacher Education from the Cyprus University of Technology, a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Essex, UK and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. My research focuses on English for Specific Purposes, Teacher Education, Curriculum Development, Teaching Methodology, Technology Enhanced Language Learning. I am a co-editor of the volumes Tertiary Education Language Learning: a collection of research (2021), Professional Development in CALL: A selection of papers (2019) and ESP teaching and teacher education: current theories and practices (2019). I have published articles in peer-reviewed academic journals, chapters in edited volumes, and I have participated in international conferences and research programmes. I am a member of various professional organisations and a former Secretary of the EuroCALL Teacher Education SIG. I believe in the value of continuing Professional Development and life-long learning.
