Considerations in selecting any ELD activity:
· How does it build and push students’ language (vocabulary, syntax, etc.) toward proficiency?· Is it interesting and relevant for students?· Is it aligned with student needs, standards, and objectives?· Does the activity include multiple domains?· Is there rigor and support for grade-level content?· Is there a focus on authentic communication?· Are all students involved equitably?· Can it be differentiated and/or presented in small group instruction?
