Student Research Assistant (m/f/d) wanted in the Independent Division of Psychosocial Medicine and Developmental Neuroscience 

The Division of Psychosocial Medicine and Developmental Neuroscience at the University Hospital Dresden is seeking a Student Research Assistant to support projects investigating the neurobiological foundations of anorexia nervosa and affective disorders. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is one of the primary methods used in these studies. This position offers valuable insight into the planning, implementation, and analysis of scientific research projects. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Conducting preliminary interviews with potential study participants, including psychometric assessments

• Assisting with data collection and database management

• Supporting data preparation and processing for scientific publications

Requirements: 

• You are enrolled in a degree program in Psychology, Medicine, or a related field (e.g., Biology, Computer Science)

• Experience with psychometric assessment is desirable but not required

• Knowledge of psychological research methods

• Enjoy working with people, including children and adolescents

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team

• Flexibility regarding working hours (occasionally including Saturday mornings)

• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics and research areas

Working hours: At least 5-6 hours per week (by arrangement)

Data Scientist wanted! - Student Job (SHK/WHK)

We are currently looking for a python-programmer to strengthen our IT team in the department of Psychosocial Medicine and Developmental Neuroscience in the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus. 

We conduct clinical research based on magnetic resonance images (functional and structural), genetic data, blood samples and behavioral data. Joining our team will give you the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice and get a first idea of what the challenges of a job in Data Science are. You will work in a fun, friendly and interdisciplinary team where everyone is eager to help and share their knowledge.  

Requirements: 

•  You study Informatics, Physics, Mathematics (or similar) 

•  You have experience in object-oriented programming, particularly in Python, and are familiar with Unix shell-scripting 

•  You can work independently but also enjoy to collaborate with teammates 

•  You are interested in clinical research and thrilled to know how a person with a technical background can contribute 

Weekly working time: 10 hours
Starting time: as soon as possible
