Conference Participation and Seminars

Listed here are some international conferences in which I participated. It's not comprehensive, and doesn't include conferences and seminars participated in entirely remotely via Zoom, unless I presented at it. I also list conferences I was involved in organising.

There will be a special edition of Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics for specially selected papers presented at and related to the topics of the 8th Workshop on Design Theory, Hadamard Matrices and Applications (HADAMARD 2025) conference held on May 26-30, 2025 in Seville, Spain. As a guest editor of this edition I encourage anyone interested to submit their articles, you can see the details here.

Eimear Byrne (UCD), Pádraig Ó Catháin (DCU), John Sheekey (UCD) and I are running the First Dublin Discrete Mathematics Workshop from June 23rd to 27th. Click the link above for details. This event will consist of one day of talks from invited speakers proposing some research problems on Monday June 23rd in UCD (Theatre F, Science Hub), followed by four days of research collaborations from Tuesday June 24th to Friday June 27th in DCU All Hallows.

1. Ongoing: Co-organiser of the DCUCD Discrete Mathematics Seminar Series in areas around Dublin.

2. Sep 2023: Co-organiser and speaker at the Techniques in Linear Algebra Workshop in DCU.

3. Mar 2023: Co-organiser and speaker at the Techniques in Linear Algebra Workshop in TUS.

4. Jun 2022: Local organiser of ILAS2020 (postponed to 2022), the 24th conference of the International Linear Algebra Society in Galway. Also a co-organiser of a minisymposium on Linear Algebra for Designs and Codes at the conference. 

5. Apr 2019/20: Co-organiser of the NUI Galway School of Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Mathematics annual Research day. - UPDATE: 2020 Research Day postponed until further notice due to COVID-19.

6. Dec 2012: Assisted in running of the 6th De Brún Workshop: Linear Algebra and Matrix Theory at NUI Galway.

7. Other: Assisted in running of the annual Groups in Galway conference at NUI Galway a number of times.
