Netiquette is etiquette on the internet. Etiquette is proper manners in all aspects of life. Netiquette is proper manners "governing communication in the internet (Source: Merriam-Webster). Good netiquette involves respecting others' privacy and not doing anything online that will annoy or frustrate other people.

Netiquette is particularly important in an online classroom. Edutopia, a leader in the thinking of digital learning, featured an article on the importance of online manners nearly ten years ago. The University of Florida's Netiquette Guide for Online Learning is as good as it gets in presenting rules of good behavior for everyday use.
