I live for my family, take pride in my work, and aim to laugh as often as possible.
I was born and raised in Opelousas, a small town in South Louisiana. I am the youngest of four children, two boys and two girls, which is why I received the nickname "Tutu." That is the name that childhood friends and family still call me to this day.
I graduated from Opelousas High School, received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, teacher's certification from the University of Texas at El Paso, and Master of Education from Lamar University. I have taught and coached in the Texas Public School System for 12 years and have spent seventeen years in leadership in two districts, Highland Park ISD and Plano ISD.
In my free time I stay active and seek new experiences, but my top priority is spending meaningful time with family and friends. I make the most of every opportunity to show them how much they mean to me. I feel blessed to have a loving spouse and close, lifelong friendships, and to build a career serving others with passion.
