Short Biography:

Edinei Santin was born in Marau, Rio Grande do Sul (RS), Brazil, in 1986. He received the B.S. degree with the highest honor in Electrical Engineering from Federal University of Santa Maria, Santa Maria, RS, Brazil, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NOVA University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, in 2014. From March 2015 to February 2018 he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Geneva/Switzerland, working on the design of hybrid and monolithic silicon pixel detectors for medical imaging and future particle colliders. Since March 2020 he has been a Senior IC Design Engineer at AlpsenTek GmbH, Zurich/Switzerland, where he is involved in the design of bio-inspired machine vision sensors. His research interests include analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, data converters, image sensors, built-in self-tested and self-calibrated circuits, and machine intelligence.
