2024 Empirical Microeconomics Workshop

The Department of Economics at the University of Calgary is hosting its 7th Empirical Microeconomics Workshop in Banff, Alberta, Canada, on June 8 and 9, 2024 The aim of this year’s workshop is to bring researchers together to present and discuss empirical microeconomic research on political economy.
The program will include a keynote presentation by Francesco Trebbi
DEADLINE: The deadline for submissions is Feb 12, 2024.
SUBMISSIONS: For this year’s workshop we invite submissions of political economy papers that combine theory and data. Established researchers as well as young scholars in the field are invited to submit. Submissions of full papers is preferred but we will also consider extended abstracts with the main results.

DECISIONS: Decisions and registration details will be announced by early March. A preliminary program will be announced in April.
WORKSHOP VENUE: The workshop is being held at the Banff Centre in the heart of Banff National Park. Banff is a spectacular location and is particularly beautiful in summer. The conference organizers are planning activities to take advantage of our unique location.
