When the printer is switched on the first time, it will initialize itself before it is ready for usage. When this is not done correctly or this process is interrupted, the printer won't function properly. It is possible to manually reset the printer hardware. There are a number of steps to be carried out. These steps are described as below:
Turn on the printer and wait until it has booted
Press and release next to the display (the glass) in the upper right corner
Press and release next to the display (the glass) in the left corner
Press and release next to the display (the glass) in the upper right corner
Press and release next to the display (the glass) in the upper right corner
Now the Engineering menu appears on the display.
Press the down arrow
Press the menu bar service
Service with a code-number will now appear on the display.
Press the right arrow key twice to reset the menu
Press the Reset menu bar
Press OK
Now the country / Language reset option in the display.
Double tap the right arrow
Now the Semi-Full Reset appears on the display.
Press OK
The printer will switch off by itself and must then be switched on manually. After the printer is switched on, the entire initialization will be performed again. The printer should not be interrupted during the initialization. After the printer is initialized, the printer is ready for use.
