Play resumed tonight after the Labor Day holiday. Red faced Blue in the early game. Red scored the first two points, and Blue scored the next two. The teams traded points until it was 5-5. After that, Red went on a 3-0 run to take half up 8-5. Blue played the second half almost even, but could not overcome that three point run in the first half. Red got the win 14-10. Red DoW, Nina, Bri, and Sammy, all had great games. Corinna, Ash, and Kate played well for Blue. Stefan had a nice assist to Peter for a key Red score in the first half. Mufasa connected with Kate in a summer teammate point for Blue.

The late game matched White and Black Pearl, who were tied in the standings at 1-1 with both teams suffering their only loss on U-point versus Red. Both of those U-points had multiple turns, and Red scored on their third attempt to secure each win. On paper, Black Pearl and White matched up well, and both teams had a strong side for the game. White came away with the win 15-9.

With one round of games complete, Red is atop the standings at 3-0, White at 2-1, Black Pearl at 1-2, and Blue at 0-3. Don't sleep on any of these teams, though. They are all deep, and as always in a rec league, it depends on who shows up. That's especially true this season with some high level players recovering from injury or having limited attendance so far for other reasons.
