Blue Wave and shRED played a hotly contested early game tonight. There were a lot of long points. It could have gone either way, but it was Blue Wave that washed over shRED for the narrow victory, 8-6. With the win, Blue Wave evened their season series vs shRED at 1-1.
In prime time, White Lotus used their secret (and not so secret) connections to score a victory over Black Pearl, 12-6. Lotus leads the season series over Black Pearl, 2-0.
In the late game, Area 51 fell behind Big Disc Energy in the first half, and a stronger effort in the second half couldn't close the gap. BDE got the win 15-6. BDE leads the season series over Area 51, 2-0.
After tonight's games, White Lotus is alone in first place at 6-3. shRED is only one game back at 5-4. The remaining four teams are one game behind shRED, all tied for third at 4-5.
Halloween in July is only two weeks away. Thursday, July 11th. Time to order the onesie you've always wanted from Amazon, plan that crazy team-colored ensemble you've got hiding in your closet, borrow an outfit from a friend, or make something unique. Just make sure it's team color appropriate and comfortable to wear playing disc in hot weather. The game is not officially sponsored by Sour Patch Kids ®, but at this point it probably should be.
The league's summer kit arrived today, but I need more time to check the order and bag it up. I'll bring them to the captains on Monday.
