Black Pearl played Red in the early game. Red is first in the standings but last in deciding their team name. It was nearly finalized, but then Sam Banney had a great idea that reignited the voting. On the field, Red took an early lead and took half up 8-4. Black Pearl's four DoW played extremely well, and they were able to rotate while Red only had Sammy and Sam available for the game. In the second half, Black Pearl's DoW mismatched on some points and showed they can get it done versus DoM too. In fact, Black Pearl won the second half, outscoring Red 7-6. Red got the win 14-11, but Black Pearl closed out with momentum as hard cap hit.
The late game matched Betty White and Bluepers. It was the first appearance of the season for Blueper Sal Pepe, and he was all over the field doing good things. The game started off with the teams trading points to 4-4 before Bluepers went on a run to take half up 8-4. That run ended up being the deciding factor in the game. The second half continued with back and forth points, mostly holds. Bluepers retained their lead and got their first win of the fall season, 15-12.
I'm planning to submit a long sleeve jersey order before games this Thursday. Any players who haven't paid their fee, I will leave you out of the order, so make sure to get that asterisk removed by your name on the rosters. Any players who have not completed their registration at all by this point will get marked inactive and removed from rosters - those folks have not played yet this season and it looks like they will not be participating.
We are also working with DiscNY and Discraft to order East Fishkill discs to sell. Cody still has a few of the original run of East Fishkill discs, so hit him up now if you want one of those soon-to-be-collectible heirlooms.
