This week's games match the teams that have played the fewest times so far this season.

Betty White defeated Black Pearl both contests between the two teams earlier this season. When they met in the early game tonight, they appeared very evenly matched. The score was close throughout the game, and there were lots of long back-and-forth points. As you might expect, the game was hard capped, and the score was knotted at 10-10 to force a universe point. Both teams had a chance to score, and it was Black Pearl that earned the hard-fought 11-10 victory.

Bluepers faced Red Rum in the late game. Red Rum had won both games versus Bluepers earlier in the season, but Red Rum had lost three straight games coming into tonight. Which streak would end? Waldie made a beautiful up-line huck for a hockey assist in the first half for Bluepers. Ox and Ash were making great cuts. Vin had an absurd catch on the run, but he was just out of bounds. Red took half up 8-4 and went on to get the win 15-8. Some nice cuts for Red Rum scores by Erick and Sammy. Welcome back Dave, Hanz, and Blake.

Both of these games were a lot of fun to watch, and the teams will match up again this Thursday.

Halloween games are in two weeks

Halloween comes early at the Kiln. Our fall Halloween games will be Monday, October 21st. Wear a team color appropriate costume you can play disc in. Some teams opt for a team theme. Check your team chat for details. Candy will be served. 

We also currently have a playoff game scheduled on Halloween night, 10/31. Only two teams will be impacted, but I still plan to post a survey to see if the league would like to have the game that night or postpone so players can do other things, like party, answer the door, or pray for our souls. Look for that poll on the league's Facebook page.
