Fall 2023 Playoffs Third Round, Monday, November 6, 2023

Bats and Skellies were attracted to the Kiln for a playoff matchup redolent of a 1940s Halloween cartoon. Both teams were looking to put a scare into the other, and they kept the score close. Skellies got four bookend scores on first half break points, including two by Royal T. In spite of that, Bats' zone defense also kept them in the game with breaks of their own. Skellies took half up 8-6, and receiving the second half pull. Unfortunately for Bats, Skellies put on a dominating performance in the second half, scoring seven unanswered points and winning the game 15-6.

With the loss, Bats are eliminated, and they will face shRED in a consolation game after the finals on Thursday at 7:45.

The finals will be Skellies versus Zombeeeees at 6:30. Because Skellies have already lost to Bees, and Bees have no losses, Bees will be crowned the fall champs if they win on Thursday. If Skellies win on Thursday, both teams will have one loss and the teams will have a rematch next week to decide the championship.

There is rain in the forecast Thursday morning. Hopefully the field will be open. In case of a rainout, these games will all be postponed to Monday, and a championship rematch would be postponed to next Thursday if necessary.

League Party this Friday, 11/10/2023 at Two-Way Brewing in Beacon

No matter what, there will be an East Fishkill Ultimate Fall Season party this Friday, November 10th. The venue has changed! It will now be held at Two-Way Brewing in Beacon, NY.
