Turns out the seeding at Crossover Challenge wasn't seeding after all. The teams were numbered in alphabetical order. Funk was missing some players - especially a number of DoWs - but still put in a good effort and grew as a team. Xist went unbeaten, including a one point win over Amp on Sunday.

Tonight at the Kiln, Liam was still sidelined with a shoulder injury and Pinky Promise missed him, falling to Blu Tang 15-9 in the early game.

Cloud 9 got some quick scores in the first half of the prime time game versus Green. Christina was all over the field on defense. Green played better in the second half, but still fell to Cloud 9 15-8.

Blood fell to Black Crows 9-15 in the late game. It's dangerous to mention blood in the late game with so many mosquitos in attendance.

After tonight's games, we are halfway through the regular summer season with Blu Tang and Cloud 9 tied atop the standings at 8-1, with the tie break going to Cloud 9 due to their big head to head win over Blu last Monday.

Our Halloween in July game is scheduled on Thursday, July 14, two weeks from this Thursday. Candy will be served. Fun will be had. It's a good time to figure out the costume you'll wear while you play ultimate that night. Team costumes are always fun, but not required. Team colored costumes (or at least accessories) are strongly encouraged, as are lightweight outfits. Remember our Halloween in July games are typically hotter than our Halloween in October games. Friends and family are invited to watch the games and help eat the candy.
