Fall 2022 Playoffs Semi-Final

Monday, November 7th, in a rematch of the opening playoff game between the 2nd and 3rd seeds, The Juice met Galactic Eggplant on an unseasonably warm night at the Kiln. Juice won that earlier playoff game, 15-13, but tonight Eggplant got off to an early lead and took half up 8-5. The Juice started the second half on offense, and scored three points in a row to tie the game at 8-8. Eggplant went back up, and looked like they would coast to a win, but Lindsay played on another level for the Juice late. With Eggplant up 14-11, Lindsay scored three points in a row for the Juice and forced U-Point 14-14. The game ended on a pass from Bobby to Yasu, and Eggplant finally held, winning 15-14 and eliminating the Juice. Great season, Juice.

After tonight's game, some Black Pearl players played a consolation game with players from the Eggplant and Juice squads, which was a lot of fun.

Eggplant will face White Claw for the Fall Championship this Thursday at 6:30 PM. Eggplant has one playoff loss from their initial matchup with the Juice, so if White Claw wins on Thursday, Claw will be the Fall Champions and Eggplant will be eliminated. If Eggplant defeats White Claw on Thursday, both teams will have one playoff loss and they will rematch for the Championship. Captains may elect to do so as a double-header on Thursday, or play the second game on Monday as currently scheduled. Come watch the finals!
