Fall 2022 Playoffs Final

Thursday, November 10th, White Claw met Galactic Eggplant in a contest that could determine the champion of the Fall 2022 season. If Claw won, they'd win it all. If Eggplant won, both teams would have a loss and they would meet again on Monday to settle the score.

Both teams had a great turnout of players who were hungry for a win. The score was back and forth early, and things were knotted at 6-6 when White Claw's sidelines said get two breaks to take half. It was a bold call, but the team did exactly that.

With White Claw up 8-6, Eggplant received the pull to start the second half, and got a hold. They proceeded to score two break points in a row after that, including a crazy layout one-handed catch by MV, which put Eggplant in the lead by one point. Back and forth again, and a long point was punctuated by Kate getting a D and leaving the game with an injury. Claw scored to go back up 11-10, a lead they would not relinquish. The final was 15-12, White Claw.

Congratulations to White Claw, the favorites coming out of the draft, they lost only one game this fall, and they were perfect in the playoffs. Black Pearl played them the closest. Juice fell flat, after being the only team to hand Claw a loss during the regular season. Galactic Eggplant got narrow leads in the final, but White Claw would not be denied. The win makes it three league championships in a row for Zay and Dr. B., and breaks Royal T's three game streak.
