Cloudy but perhaps our best weather of the season so far. No rain and no wind. Black and White got all monochromatic for the early game, and that color... was White. Black came out flat, and White flat out dominated. The score was 8-2 at half. The game may have been a bit closer than the score made it sound, and Black was determined to make it a game with a strong second half. In spite of some great plays by Vicky and the Black team, Cody and the White team kept the pressure on and kept Black from making a comeback. White's first win of the season was a comfortable one, 15-7 over Black.
In prime time, Blue was without Captain America. The team was still fired up, and Dr. B made a sick catch and quick upline toss to Zaug for a score that got the sidelines into the game. Green continued their strong play, though, and ultimately proved too strong. The final was Green over Blue 15-8. Green unbeaten after three games.
Yellow has been spreading across the young summer season like a fever, and in the late game tonight it was the Red team that was stricken. In spite of Marisa's early reports that Red had won in a huge upset, 1732-4, it turned out it was the fever talking. In fact, Yellow won the game 15-6, remaining unbeaten and tied with Green atop the standings.
With three games in the books, Yellow and Green have been putting in work with three wins each. Meanwhile, Black, White, Blue and Red have a total of three wins combined. Could the season be shaping up for a Yellow-Green championship? Given the talent on the other rosters, combined with eight players looking to be added to rosters, it's too early to tell. The Yellow/Green portion of the color wheel have certainly gotten off to a nice start, though.
