Our second night of games in the Fall season featured more perfect weather. Blood and Black faced off in the early game. Blood scored first, but after a few back and forth points, Black got a few breaks and took half. Blood never recovered. A string of good possessions ended in spilled blood near the end zone, while Black poured it on. The final was 15-6 Black, snapping Blood's one game winning streak. Long time veteran handler John Arwe was on the sidelines. It was great to see him at the field.
Black really needs a team name. Marisa suggested several, including Black Pearl. They could do a pirate theme, she helpfully suggested. The lack of a name certainly didn't prevent them from winning big, but it would have perhaps lent more style to the victory. Also, it is never too early to start planning for our Halloween games, which are scheduled on Monday, 10/21/2019.
In the late game, Scooby Blue faced Polar Bears. Both teams were making plays early, perhaps owing to Scooby Snacks and all the Blood left on the field from the early game. In the end, Scooby Blue prevailed 15-12 and remained unbeaten. Polar Bears have yet to win, but the Fall season is young.
The league has partnered again with BE Ultimate to offer reversible spot sublimated league tanks in the same colors we offered this summer (which of course includes all four colors playing this fall). If you want to order a reversible for your fall team color, or if you missed out on ordering this summer, or even if you want to get one for your mom, you have until Friday, September 6th to place your orders. Just like our summer order, the whole shipment will come to the commish to distribute. The store is here:

Finally, a reminder there are no games on Monday, September 2nd. The Kiln is closed for Labor Day. Why not use that time to order a dope, fresh, funky, fly reversible tank? Games will resume on Thursday, September 5th.
