White faced off against Red in the early game. Red got off to a hot start, scoring the game's first four points. White came back and kept it close after that, but Red never gave up the lead. Those first four points were the final margin of victory, 14-10. The game was hard capped. It was also the last East Fishkill league game for Corey Vaccaro, who is moving to the Boston area. Corey - East Fishkill will miss you as both a player and a team captain. We're wishing you continued success and we hope to see you again on the field.
The night was amazing. The sidelines were buzzing and positive. A lot of people stuck around to watch Blue vs Yellow in the late game. Blue's offense featured three awesome ladies handling, and it was a joy to behold. I would love to see us become an officially mixed league if we can get the numbers. PS: Zaug made a great D, and Jimi caught it anyhow, and the sideline went bananas. Zac is showing improvement in his mobility coming back from injury, but his participation for Yellow was still limited. Blue won the game 15-9.
With the wins, Red and Blue moved to 2-3, while White and Yellow slipped to 3-2. Nice to see the league standings so close after five games.
