First games after a long break. We haven't had a game at the Kiln since Columbus day, with the past two game nights rained out. I want to say it felt good, but it also felt cold. I stand by my weather forecast from earlier this week: Cold AF.

In the early game, Red led 8-5 at half, and held on to win 15-13 over Yellow. Yellow made a nice comeback in the second half, playing savage. White prevailed over Blue 15-11 in the late game.

With the wins, White and Red are tied for first place at 6-4 with Yellow only one game back in the standings at 5-5. Red holds the tie break over White having gone 2-1 against White during the regular season. (Two of their head to head games were rained out.) Yellow holds the season tie break vs Red, having won three out of their five matchups this season, but that will only matter if Yellow wins and both Red and White lose on Monday.

White holds the season tie break against Yellow having won both of their head to head matchups this Fall. The two teams will square off again on Monday night.

So... the playoff race looks like this:

  • Blue has clinched the 4 seed.
  • If Red defeats Blue on Monday, Red clinches the 1 seed.
  • If Blue defeats Red and Yellow defeats White, then White, Yellow and Red will be tied in the standings, and White holds the first tie break over Yellow, Yellow holds the first tie break over Red, and Red holds the first tie break over White. That'd get a little crazy - but I'll look at the head to head point differentials to determine seeding if it comes down to that.

Remember, Monday is also our Halloween games. Wear a costume you can play in. It might be a good idea to wear a warm one. Gummy Bears and Sourpatch Kids have already been procured for your snacking enjoyment. This time, we will have two sizes of Sourpatch Kids: original and big. Big Sourpatch Kids are for winners. We are all winners.
