Monday, August 6, 2018 - First Round of Summer Playoffs

It was by all accounts a very hot and sweaty night at the Kiln. Yellow and Red were idle, having secured the top two seeds and first round byes. White (3) faced off against Blue (6) in what proved to be a fight. Blue had a strong team in spite of their regular season record, and White had been winning with a consistently small roster of available players. White held their seed, winning the game 15-10. Much respect to Blue for their effort this season. White advances to play Red in the 7PM game on Thursday.

In the late game, Green (4) faced off against Black (5). As befitting the closeness of the seeds, the teams played a back and forth game. Ultimately Green held their seed, making a late push to get the win 15-12. Black lost a key player to injury this summer, and made a nice comeback in the standings after a slide. Green advances to play Yellow in the late game this Thursday.
