Red defeated Yellow 15-7 to start the fall 2018 playoffs. Red started with five players, went to six, and then back to five after the commish pulled his calf. Chilly weather and chilly disc carried the day. Chey and Zac were not able to play for Yellow as they were attending an A-list gala in NYC.
Blue had a big turnout for the late game versus White playing savage with only 5. White built a lead. Blue got a late comeback and tied it up at 13-13, using their subs against a tired White squad. White had a chance to win while receiving at 14-14 but turned the disc. Blue scored for the W, taking the game 15-14 hard cap.
Top seeded White will face an extremely strong Yellow team that has lost four straight in an elimination game on Monday at 6:30. These teams both have some great talent on paper, but they've missed folks because of injuries and other commitments. Only one more loss separates them from focusing on winter indoor.
Blue is buying into their "worst to first" mantra with a big turnout, having won three of their last four games. They will face Red at 7:45. Red has also won three of their last four, but the lone loss was to Blue and they've had light turnout. Can Blue stay hot? Will Red be able to get more of their veteran players to come to games?
