A short rain before game time left the field moist. Everyone knows a moist field begets a moist disc. A moist disc begets many turnovers. There were long points in the early game, including a marathon in the second half that lasted over seven minutes. In the end, it was Red remaining unbeaten. The final score was Red 16 - Blue 10.
Black was without their beloved captain couple, tonight being the first of several games they will miss this fall. Missing several other players too, Black enlisted some all star guests and went up early versus White. White scored a point on a classic Cody hammer to Justin as time expired in the half, but Black still held a narrow lead. The score remained close through the second half until White went to a zone look on defense. In spite of some hasty planning in response, Black never scored again and White ran away with the game winning 17-10.
