White - Red lived up to the hype in the early game. There were a number of hotly contested points, perhaps the greatest being Raeburn making a furious top speed bid to deflect a pass intended for Red captain Zac Schiff. Zac got the disc, but Rae got applause from the sideline for his effort. White made it a one point game late in the second half, but Red scored to bring it back to two. On the following possession, Red got a key D and converted the break to go up by three with just over a minute to play. That proved to be the decisive point in the game, with Red adding a final point as time expired. 16-12 Red over White.
Hot off their double-forfeit no contest with White on Monday, Black's attendance soared for the late game. By soared, I mean six people showed up. Blue was kind enough to let Matt Vaccaro, Zupan and Steve Malon guest with Black. Perhaps they were too kind. Black clicked and played solid fundamental disc, taking an early 4-0 lead and never looking back. The final was 16-5 Black, with special props to Matt V who had a really solid game cutting. The game's first few points were immortalized on Twitter by our corresponding secretary. Check it out if you enjoy sarcasm and embarrassing quotes: @EFUltiLeague.
